Montréal, Québec, April 13, 2021 – L’Image Home Products is proud to announce that it has received the 2021 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. This award was given to L’Image Home Products as recognition for its 3rd consecutive award as a Partner of the Year.

The Sustained Excellence award is the highest honor bestowed by the ENERGY STAR program, reserved for partners demonstrating outstanding leadership, year over year.  Winners are part of a distinguished group that has made a long-term commitment to fighting climate change and protecting public health through energy efficiency. They are among the nation’s leaders in driving value for the environment, the economy, and the American people.

The combined efforts of L’Image Home Products bringing ENERGY STAR products to new retail partners, new product development, and continued partnerships with existing retailers and utilities resulted in the sale of more than 4 million products with the ENERGY STAR certification in 2020. The impact of these lighting products is estimated to save 4.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity over their useful life. Based on the results of the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Calculator, this is equivalent to 712 wind turbines running for a year or avoiding the consumption of 7.6 million barrels of oil.

“ENERGY STAR is one of the most important partnerships that we have, as it leveled the playing field and lets consumers know that our product meets the same level of quality of other ENERGY STAR products. We are proud of our accomplishments with ENERGY STAR, our retail partners, and utility partners. Together we have helped reach consumers to save energy and money, both short and long term.” Said Gillian Saidman, Director of Utility Programs & Sustainability at L’Image Home Products.

“ENERGY STAR award-winning partners are showing the world that delivering real climate solutions makes good business sense and promotes job growth,” said EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan. “Many of them have been doing it for years, inspiring all of us who are committed to tackling the climate crisis and leading the way to a clean energy economy.”

Winners are selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR partners. For a complete list of 2021 winners and more information about ENERGY STAR’s awards program, visit energystar.gov/awardwinners.
